About Us

The Department of has been established on dated 10th December 2025 by the Cabinet resolution. The department has been entrusted to look after the department facilitate youth for getting jobs through Skilling, Counselling, Registration and Job Fairs.

Vision

The Vision of the is to the implementation of schemes and formulation of policies to promote employment and skill development, Creation of employment-related acts/rules, Registration for employment and establishment of the Directorate of Employment, Creation and operation of an employment-related e-portal, Organization of job fairs, Liaisoning with all types of private companies/industries/establishments and MSME units for employment, Special Employment Directorate, Arrangement of sector-wise vocational and technical training for youth, Industrial Training Institutes (ITI), Co-ordination with various ongoing schemes of the Central Government for skill development, Implementation of apprenticeship schemes and industry-based training, Co-ordination with various departments such as Labour Resources, Education, Industry, Science Technology and Technical Education and Rural Development Department etc., regarding ongoing schemes related to employment generation and skill development, Work related to the Bihar Skill Development Mission, Work related to National Cadet Corps / National Service Scheme / National Youth Corps / Nehru Yuva Kendra / Bihar Youth Commission, etc., Identification and nurturing of youth talent, All work related to youth welfare, Control of all personnel employed in the department, Administrative charge of all buildings under the control of the department & Administrative control and work related to all boards, corporations, and institutions constituted in the department.
